Think you’re set you to achieve your goals this year? Check out these tips from Olympic Swimmer, Cody Miller!
Hi everyone, I’m Cody Miller and I’m a TrueSport champion. Today, we’re going to talk about goal setting and how to set smart goals, which stand for specific, measurable, attainable, reasonable, and timely.
During the goal-setting process, make sure each goal aligns with the smart word. For example, if I said that my goal was to become a better swimmer, would that be a smart goal? Definitely not, but we can easily fix that. Instead, I would set a goal to shave four-tenths of a second off my 100 meter breaststroke time by the end of next season. This new goal checks all of the boxes and sets me up for success.
Studies show that writing down your goals helps to increase your chance of achieving them. When you do reach your goals, always remember to celebrate your success with the people that help you get there. Thanks for watching.
