Hi, I’m Lauryn Williams, TrueSport Ambassador, and after the 2012 Olympic games in track and field, I decided I wanted to try a new sport. It was bobsledding. I’d never done it before, but I was really excited to try something new, but I had a short time period where I had to learn a lot of different things.
The principles I use for goal-setting are called SMART, so Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Time sensitive. Without using the principles of SMART, I might not have attained my silver medal in the 2014 winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, where I got second place all because I learned how to set goals in a really short period of time and I stuck to the SMART principles in order to help me succeed.
