2026 TrueSport Talks

November 4, 2026 – Live from the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum

TrueSport Talks: Athlete Mental Wellness, Digital Pressures, and Performance.

About the Event

November 4, 2026

Digital tools and media narratives are reshaping how athletes see themselves, their sport, and their worth, often prioritizing metrics, rankings, and online perception over play, growth, and connection. As stories from grassroots athletes to elite competitors reveal the toll this can take on joy, mental health, and identity, sport must take an honest look at its evolving relationship with technology and storytelling, and lead with intention to protect what matters most for the next generation.

During this FREE virtual event, broadcast live from the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Museum, we’ll explore when digital culture supports healthy sport and when it quietly erodes it. Together, with athletes, coaches, experts, and sport administrators, we’ll examine how thoughtful storytelling can humanize athletes and preserve their dignity, rather than flatten them into brands or viral moments, and how reclaiming joy as a central goal and not a ‘nice to have’ can reshape sport for the better. Drawing on real stories from those who’ve stepped back to reset boundaries and rediscover why they love their sport, we’ll equip participants with practical strategies to challenge harmful myths, set healthier digital boundaries, and build sport environments rooted in perspective, connection, and long-term well-being.
