Background & Bio

Josh Hartman is a Team USA Cyclist striving for gold at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. His journey in cycling began at a young age following in his cousin’s footsteps, and the desire to continue this legacy keeps him motivated to set and meet new goals.

Hartman’s achievements on the track have not only earned him recognition but also made him a role model for aspiring cyclists. As a TrueSport Ambassador, he actively promotes the values of sportsmanship, character-building, and clean competition, and he hopes that by sharing his story, he can inspire young athletes to pursue their dreams and give guidance on how to balance sport and life. Hartman’s dedication to both his athletic career and the principle of fair play exemplifies the positive impact athletes can have beyond their competitive performances.

At the age of 15, Josh had a near-death experience that left him in a coma for several weeks. Despite everyone’s advice, he was back on his boke after his recovery. This perseverance allowed him to win his first road race a year to the day after his return.
